Taekwondo means “the way of the foot and the hand.” The history and traditions of Taekwondo can be traced back into ancient times in Korea. Students learn various forms (Poom Sae) from the arts of Tae kwon do. They also learn self-defense and sparring techniques which are practiced with a partner.
Taekwondo benefits students far beyond physical fitness; it’s a Martial Art that develops both the mind and body. Taekwondo helps students build self-esteem, concentration, self-discipline, patience, a positive attitude, and confidence. Plus, through training in Martial Arts, children learn and adopt goal setting, manners, a strong work ethic, and most importantly, respect.
At Croft Taekwondo we strive to inspire each and every member to strengthen their mind and body through Taekwondo. Students will become more focused, stronger, better coordinated, and grow in CONFIDENCE and self-discipline.
Our martial arts curriculum is rich in tradition and modern life application. It emphasizes physical skills and development of character to provide life long benefits. We provide a family environment that allows every age and skill level to participate together!
