Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Taekwondo and other martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors. Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students.
Here are a few of Croft Taekwondo & Haidong Gumdo Academy’s instructors and other staff members.
Master Glenn Croft
Master Croft has practiced Martial Arts for over 35 years. He has his 6th Dan Taekwondo Black Belt certification through the Kukkiwon in Seoul Korea. Member of the World Taekwondo Headquarters – Kukkiwon, USA Taekwondo, United States Taekwondo Grandmaster Society, AAU Taekwondo. Master Croft holds a 4th Dan Master Instructor certification in Haidong Gumdo, a Korean Sword Art, and is a member of the Texas State Haidong Gumdo Association and World Haidong Gumdo Federation. He also has a Bachelors of Science degree in Electronic Engineering, and is working on his Masters in Business Administration. Master Croft also served 6 years in the US Navy Submarine Service.

Michelle Croft
Mrs. Croft is a 3rd Dan Black Belt Certified through the Kukkiwon. She teaches the Taekwondo Little Dragons program for students 4-5 years old. She also has a Degree in education.
Master Katie Croft
Katie is a 5th DAN certified Master Instructor. She has competed and is a Gold Medalist at State and National Taekwondo Competitions in both Forms and Sparring. She graduated from the University of North Texas with her Bachelor of Business Administration in Operations and Supply Chain Management.
Master Cory Franks
Master Cory Franks has practiced Taekwondo for 22 years. He holds a 4th DAN Black Belt certification through the Kukkiwon. Mr. Franks also has a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing, Associates degrees in both nursing and music and is completing his master’s degree as a Clinical Nurse Leader. Mr. Franks and his wife live in Fort Worth with their son Cooper and Cameron. Mr. Franks credits much of his personal and professional accomplishments to the qualities he developed through his training in Taekwondo.
Chris d’Angelo
Chris d’Angelo is a 3rd Dan Black Belt Certified through the Kukkiwon. Mr. d’Angelo also runs our Competition Team that competes in Sparring and Forms. He is also a 1st DAN Blackbelt in Haidong Gumdo. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Music and is an Eagle Scout. He and his family live in Fort Worth and all practice Tae Kwon Do.
Ethan Aung
Ethan is 3rd Dan Black Belt in Haidong Gumdo certified through the World Haidong Gumdo Federation. Ethan teaches some of the Haidong Gumdo (Sword) classes.
